Reporting to the EVP & Chief Engagement Officer, the role of the Associate Vice President, Annual Giving & Digital Programs invites you to be a collaborative thought leader and consultant in the Annual Giving and Digital space to healthcare sector clients across the US and abroad. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to anticipate and lead critical client conversations and proactively advance multiple client engagements and strategies.

As a consultant in the Annual Giving and Digital space, you will partner on work focused on segmentation, content strategy, Annual Giving team time management, mentorship, and process, reporting and recommending KPI’s, and conducting assessments and making recommendations for increasing ROI, new donor acquisition and growth, and increasing retention rates. This role is responsible for the development and creation of custom and standardized materials to be used in existing and future client relationships.

This role will work closely with the VP and AVP of Annual Giving & Digital Philanthropy, Client Engagement team, and Services consultants. As part of the Professional Services team, this individual will contribute to successful client engagements, ensuring the strategies and solutions provided align with the overarching objectives of our clients.


Responsibilities
  • Optimize client’s existing direct mail and email marketing programs to incorporate best practices for increased donor participation and fundraising results. This includes cultivation and acquisition strategies, Calendar Year End campaigns, Upgrade ask strategies, Doctor’s Days and Nurses Weeks, as well as other research and holiday-based campaigns.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on content development and strategy, donor journeys, and testing strategies that increase ROI and meet client’s needs.
  • Build email marketing campaigns in various client platforms. This includes both static and automated workflows as well as setting up proper performance tracking.
  • Write content for direct mail, email, social media, and web that aligns with your designed strategy for our clients.
  • Collect, organize and analyze data from Annual Giving teams – this includes appeal data, segmentation data, testing strategies, and demographic data that helps build personas.
  • Conduct assessments of Annual Giving and Digital programs and make recommendations on drafting partnership roadmaps with clients.
  • Provide recommendations on utilizing EMR patient data, GOBEL’s G2G product, and/or other external list sources for donor acquisition and cultivation segmentation strategies.
  • Provide guidance and train teams on post-campaign analysis on direct mail and email marketing while sharing learnings that could influence future strategies.
  • Develop and build documents to help support Annual Giving teams including but not limited to Content & Testing Planning Guides, Appeal Performance reports, Strategy Briefs, Calendars, Weekly Revenue trackers and more.
  • Create and conduct trainings on Annual Giving and Digital subject matter with topics such as Content Strategy, Intro to Annual Giving, and Digital Fundraising.
  • Ensure programming is in compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards, as well as the client organization’s policies and procedures.


Qualifications
  • 3-5 Years Annual Giving & Digital Fundraising experience
  • 1+ years’ experience working in the healthcare sector is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience building email marketing campaigns in platform
  • Experience working for a nonprofit specific or a traditional marketing agency
  • Experience working with AI programs for segmentation
  • Must have a track record of successfully managing competing priorities.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to easily move from big-picture strategy to tactical execution.
  • Possess exceptional project management skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Independently driven, has an analytical and data-driven mindset and excels at problem solving.
  • Is collaborative in nature and thrives in a team culture.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience in the following platforms preferred: Blackbaud and Salesforce CRMs, Classy, Emma, iModules, Constant Contact, MailChimp, and other email marketing platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and/or CFRE preferred.

GOBEL offers compensation in the range of $100,000 – $125,000 based on experience.
