Gratitude Motivates Giving
Giving back is much more than a financial transaction—it’s a transformational experience. The greatest gift we can offer is to share our gratitude for the most important things we hold in life. For patients and families, their gratitude is inspired by the care and compassion clinicians provide for themselves or their loved ones.
Gratitude creates a space to honor the intangible gifts a clinician had generously offered – whether it be time to listen, expert advice, a hand held, a life saved, or just simply extra patience. In this space, gratitude inspires philanthropy.
Giving Promotes Healing
Gratitude allows a person to honor clinicians by labeling their gifts that are sometimes hard to put into words. This shift makes a huge difference in health and wellness and relationship building. Many clinical studies support the connection between giving and healing.
Gobel Group is proud to partner with Robert A. Emmons Ph.D., the world’s leading scientific expert on gratitude. For nearly two decades, Emmons has been studying the effects of gratitude on physical health, on psychological well-being, and on our relationships with others.
