Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Commercial Officer will work closely with a high-performing management team to drive the continued growth and success of GOBEL. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and result-driven CCO to lead revenue growth, overseeing the sales and marketing functions. The CCO will have direct responsibility for driving sales (net new, upsells, and renewals) and developing the company’s strategies for brand identity, market segmentation, sales, and revenue optimization.

The ideal candidate has the requisite experience, skills, passion, and leadership capabilities necessary to drive rapid and profitable growth. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CCO will recommend and implement the commercial strategy roadmap that aligns with the company’s business goals and objectives.

The CCO will be a humble and empathetic leader committed and enthusiastic about advancing philanthropic efforts.

Sales Leadership

  • Lead the company’s commercial efforts, across new and existing accounts.
  • Directly drive revenue generation, with personal responsibility for winning and closing new accounts, upsells, and renewals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and accountability standards, pacing the build of the team with the company’s growth.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives business growth, focusing on enterprise-level methodologies for SaaS and professional services.
  • Manage and expand relationships with key clients, understanding their needs to tailor solutions that align with their goals.
  • Pursue new business opportunities, ensuring a strong pipeline, accurate forecasting, and effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee the firm’s CRM, ensuring accuracy of reporting and effectiveness in driving lead generation.
  • Train and mentor the sales team to foster a results-driven and collaborative culture.

Marketing Leadership

  • Define and oversee the company’s brand, messaging, and corporate identity, ensuring alignment with overall growth strategy.
  • Oversee the marketing editorial calendar, digital content creation, social media presence, and website updates.
  • Own processes and deliverables from the firm’s CRM and marketing automation software, ensuring the CRM drives business value for the commercial team and broader organization.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives such as webinars, podcasts, and the creation of thought leadership materials like case studies and whitepapers.
  • Conduct regular marketing ROI analysis, competitive analysis, and market research to enhance marketing efforts and mitigate industry threats.

Collaboration & Integration

  • Develop and execute an overarching revenue strategy, including integrating sales and marketing with service delivery. Own market segmentation, sales compensation, and vertical planning.
  • Oversee both sales and marketing functions, ensuring alignment between messaging, go-to-market strategies, and revenue objectives.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive integrated revenue generation efforts.
  • Align marketing and sales strategies to create cohesive go-to-market plans.
  • Assist in managing strategic partnerships to enhance the company’s market position.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Accountable for meeting revenue targets, while delivering against overall marketing and sales budgets and metrics.
  • Provide monthly performance reports to the CEO and private equity sponsor, tracking all marketing and sales activities, ROI, and growth metrics.
  • Provide quarterly updates to the Board, directly informing company strategy.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in senior enterprise sales, marketing, revenue, or growth leadership roles.  BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or similar discipline, preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, selling into the hospital c-suite. Has existing relationships with the c-suite, CEO is ideal.  Experience in the philanthropy industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, developing strategic plans, and achieving sales and marketing integration.
  • Extensive experience with CRM systems, sales methodologies, and marketing automation tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing marketing and sales teams.
  • Strong knowledge of both professional services and SaaS products, with a preference for experience leading sales for a tech-enabled business. 
  • Highly analytical, capable of forecasting revenue and driving data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at managing relationships with key stakeholders within the organization, customers, and broader industry.
  • Proven experience building positive internal relationships with senior leaders and functions (product, GTM, service delivery, operations, etc.).
  • Ideally has experience working at PE-backed businesses and partnering closely with key PE stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates the energy, drive, and passion to support an early-stage company in the midst of tremendous growth, and understands what it takes to scale a complex, HCIT business.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
