$10M+ healthcare gifts in February 2025:
- Gautam Adani and family committed $690M to create Adani Health City which plans to open two health campuses in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, India.
- Penn Medicine celebrated a $120M gift from Catherine and Anthony Clifton. The gift names The Clifton Center for Medical Breakthroughs.
- Washburn University announced a $50M gift from Greg and Ronda Brenneman. The gift supports the construction of an innovative facility bringing all health-related disciplines together, names the Harmony J. Hines School of Nursing in honor of Ronda Brenneman’s late sister, and renames the School of Business.
- The University of Sydney celebrated a A$50M donation from the Snow Family, creating The Snow Vision Accelerator and investing in glaucoma research.
- UMass Chan Medical School received a $35M donation from the Paul J. DiMare Foundation. The gift names the Paul J. DiMare Center as well as neurodegenerative and genetic disease research.
- Trinity Health Oakland announced a $30M bequest intention from Steve and Vivian Stolaruk. The donation has been earmarked to support future capital needs at Trinity Health Oakland, primarily funding the hospital’s recently announced Emergency Department expansion and future enhancements to Women’s Health services.
- The University of North Carolina Wilmington received a $25M donation from Yousry and Linda Sayed. The gift supports UNCW’s programs in medical education, clinical care, research, and healthcare accessibility, supporting a wide range of healthcare professional workforce programs and research initiatives. Additionally, $5M is designated to programs to recruit prospective teachers.
- Long Island University announced a $20.5M donation from the Lewyt Trust. The gift names the Lewyt College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Roper St. Francis Healthcare celebrated a $20M gift from the Medical Society of South Carolina, supporting Roper’s mew campus in North Charleston and expanding services in downtown Charleston, SC.
- St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation received a $17M donation from Andrew and Peggy Cherng, naming the Cherng Family Medical Building, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus in Henderson, NV.
- Richmond Hospital Foundation celebrated a $15M CAD donation from Gary Cowell. The gift supports adding innovative technology to the new acute care tower being built at Richmond Hospital in British Columbia.
- Al Jalila Foundation (Dubai Health) announced an AED50M ($13.6M USD) gift from the Eissa Al Othman Endowment to support the construction and development of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital.
- UCLA Health celebrated a $12M donation from the Brett Torino Foundation and Canarelli Family Foundation. The gift supports expanding UCLA Health’s Mobile Stroke Unit Program.
- UC Irvine received a $11M donation from the Clemons Family Foundation to support advanced cancer research, supports construction of the medical innovation building construction, and UCI Health – Irvine.
- Trinity Health Ann Arbor announced a $10M gift from an anonymous donor to create a neurosciences institute.
- Oroville Hospital in California celebrated a $10M donation from Gerald Anthony Maguire MD. The gift establishes The Maguire Neuropsychiatric Institute in honor of the late Gerald Eugene Maguire MD.
- The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center received a $10M donation from Jim And Christina Grote to establish the Center for Integrative Health.
- Massachusetts General Hospital celebrated a $10M donation from the Shah Family Foundation, establishing the Center for Comprehensive Healing.
- Children’s Hospital New Orleans announced a transformational gift from Archie and Olivia Manning and sons Cooper, Payton, and Eli Manning. The gift names the Manning Family Children’s Hospital and supports expanding pediatric health in Louisiana.
