Cookie Addendum
This Cookie Addendum forms part of and supplements the Privacy Policy. It explains how Gobel Group (“Gobel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device. They may recognize a browser or device, remember preferences, provide website functionality, measure website use, or support advertising. We and third parties may also use similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, web beacons, scripts, local storage, and software development kits. References to “cookies” in this Addendum include these similar technologies where appropriate.
Cookies may be placed by Gobel or on our behalf, or by third parties that provide services or technologies used on our website. Some cookies remain only during a browsing session, while others may remain for a specified period or until they are deleted.
Categories of Cookies We Use
Necessary Cookies. These cookies support core website operation, security, and functionality, including basic website functions, fraud or misuse prevention, traffic management, remembering cookie preferences, and features requested by a visitor. Disabling them may prevent portions of the website from functioning properly.
Functional Cookies. These cookies enable enhanced website features and help remember visitor choices or preferences. Disabling them may cause certain features to operate differently or become unavailable.
Analytics Cookies. These cookies collect or receive information about how visitors use and interact with the website so we can understand traffic, measure performance, identify popular content, evaluate interactions, troubleshoot issues, and improve the website. These cookies may collect information such as pages visited, links selected, referring websites, browser or device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and the date, time, and duration of website activity.
Advertising Cookies. These cookies collect or receive information about website visits, browsing activity, content viewed, links selected, browsers, devices, and IP addresses. Gobel and its advertising partners may use this information to measure campaigns, understand interactions with advertisements, create or evaluate advertising audiences, and display advertising based on browsing activity on other websites or services.
We may disclose information collected or derived through advertising cookies to advertising partners. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, these activities may be characterized as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or processing for targeted advertising. Where applicable law provides an opt-out right, visitors may exercise it using the controls described below.
When Cookies Are Activated
At present, functional, analytics, and advertising cookies used on our website may activate immediately when a visitor lands on the website, before the visitor makes a selection through the cookie banner or preference controls. As a result, certain cookies may be placed and certain information may be collected or transmitted to third parties before a selection is made. A later selection applies the visitor’s preferences going forward but may not reverse earlier cookie activity or data transmissions.
Your Cookie Choices
Visitors may update cookie preferences through the website’s cookie banner or preference controls. The controls may offer options to Accept All, Reject All, or Customize available cookie categories. These choices do not affect necessary cookies used to operate, secure, or provide the website. Visitors may need to clear previously stored cookies through browser settings for certain changes to take full effect.
Most browsers provide settings to review, block, limit, or delete cookies. The available controls vary by browser and device. Blocking or deleting cookies may remove stored preferences, require choices to be reset, prevent certain features from operating, affect embedded content or customized functionality, or limit our ability to understand website use and performance. Deleting cookies does not necessarily delete information previously collected by Gobel or a third party.
Visitors may also use applicable browser-based privacy signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”). GPC is a browser setting or extension-based signal that communicates a preference to opt out of certain uses or disclosures of personal information. Where required by applicable law, Gobel treats a recognized GPC signal as an opt-out preference for activities that may be characterized as selling or sharing personal information or using it for targeted advertising. Visitors using multiple browsers or devices may need to enable GPC separately on each one.
Third-Party Technologies
Certain cookies and similar technologies are provided or controlled by third parties, including the analytics and advertising providers identified above. These third parties may collect or receive information directly from a visitor’s browser or device and process it under their own privacy policies and terms. Gobel does not control every aspect of their technologies or processing, and visitors should review the applicable third party’s privacy disclosures for information about its practices and available controls.
