$10M+ healthcare gifts in November 2024:

  • Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital celebrated a $32M grant from the Marcus Foundation supporting the capabilities at Marcus Neuroscience Institute.
  • The Cleveland Clinic received a $30M gift from the Bailey-Haslam Family, establishing the Haslam Family Section for Cardiovascular Genetics at the Sydell and Arnold Miller Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute.
  • The University of Strathclyde announced a £30M donation from the Charles Huang Foundation. The gift supports the Charles Huang Advanced Technology & Innovation Centre. The CHAITC will provide additional research facilities for advancing Health Technologies and other collaborative innovations.
  • The Alberta Canada Foundation celebrated a $30M donation from Stan and Marge Owerko supporting its OWN.CANCER campaign.
  • UNSW Sydney received a A$25.9M donation from the Swire Group. The funds will allow Kirby Institute at UNSW Sydney to screen thousands of women in seven Pacific countries for cervical cancer.
  • The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health received a $20M donation from Danny and Gail Jones. The outright and estate gift supports behavioral and mental health and primary care programs.
  • The University of Melbourne celebrated a A$20M gift from Pamela Galli, supporting research into neurodevelopmental disorders, skin cancer prevention and treatments, as well as enabling new areas of investigation and research collaboration.
  • Children’s Mercy Kansas City received a $17M matching gift from an anonymous donor supporting the hospital’s Illuminate program – a vision to address mental health for children and teens in the Kansas City, MO area.
  • Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan announced a $15M estate gift from the late Harry Kirk Denler. The gift supports research into enhanced diagnosis, treatments, and cures for pediatric and adult leukemia, led by Corewell Health’s Research Institute.
  • Tarleton State University celebrated a $12.5M donation from Joe Long. The gift supports the university’s new College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • The Guilds of Valley Children’s announced a $12M commitment establishing two endowment funds at Valley Children’s Hospital. $10M of the funds create the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) endowment, supporting heart and lung bypass support for critically ill children; $2M supports the Guilds Endowment, providing support to various hospital units.
  • As part of an $85M commitment to nonprofits in Southwest Florida, Tom Golisano donated $10M to support Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
  • Luke’s Health System in Idaho celebrated a $10M estate gift from the late Allen T. and Billie Dee Noble. The Nobles were advocates of St. Luke’s and their mission to bring quality health care to the Treasure Valley, including EMS services through the Air St. Luke’s program.
  • NYU Langone Health announced a $10M donation from the Home Depot Foundation. The gift supports and names The Home Depot Emergency Department at NYU Langone Health – Cobble Hill.
  • The Mott Foundation donated $10M to expand complex care spaces at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital at Michigan Health.
  • Texas A&M University College of Medicine announced it had received its largest gift to date from Naresh K. Vashisht. The gift names the Texas A&M University Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine.
