The New England Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (NEAHP), a not-for-profit membership association for healthcare development professionals, will be celebrating 50 years of advancing healthcare philanthropy this year from March 3rd-5th at the Newport Marriott in Newport, Rhode Island.
Chad Gobel, CEO of Gobel Group, will be the keynote speaker on Monday morning. In his presentation, the Future of Healthcare Philanthropy: Gratitude over Wealth, he will explore the reasons donors give gifts, the relationship between giving and healing, and the benefits of placing an emphasis on gratitude rather than on wealth in healthcare philanthropy. Staring with the historical implications of Higher Ed vs. Healthcare, he will discuss the perspectives of a patient and their family, as well as the perspective of the institution, and also expand on the importance of clinician engagement. We look forward to plenaries by Colleen Kelly Alexander, Athlete and Motivational Speaker as she presents on Purposeful Work with Gratitude and Julia Campbell, MPA, Consultant, and Author presenting How to Use Storytelling Throughout the Donor Journey.
The conference includes the Dynamic Dialogues, a section of the leadership track centered around issues many senior philanthropy professionals might face, and networking opportunities provided by conference sponsors and exhibitors.
Key sessions during the event will include digital philanthropy, principal gifts programs, bequest strategies, OKR methods, major event fundraising, philanthropic culture generation, and much more. Chad Gobel will also lead a session Monday on Building a Successful Clinician Engagement Program.
The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) provides quality education, networking, and other resources to enhance skills and results for members of the association and its partners. Read more about the upcoming NEAHP Conference here.
