$10M+ healthcare gifts in July 2026:
- Northwestern Medicine’s Palos Hospital received a $225 million gift from the St. George Foundation on July 2, continuing the donor’s long-running support of oncology care in Orland Park, Illinois. The gift funds a new four-story, 315,682-square-foot facility consolidating outpatient infusion, diagnostic imaging, and radiation treatment services under one roof, carrying forward the St. George Cancer Institute name first established by the foundation’s earlier $51 million gift.
- Cooper University Health Care received a $100 million gift from George E. Norcross III on July 28, one of the largest philanthropic gifts in the health system’s history. The gift supports education, job-training, and community-focused programs across Camden and southern New Jersey and honors Norcross’s parents, George E. Norcross Jr. and Anne Carol Conner Norcross, whose names will be added to the health system in recognition of the family’s 50-plus-year legacy.
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia received a $50 million gift from the Einhorn Collaborative on July 22 to launch the David M. Einhorn Institute for Early Relational Health. The gift supports research and clinical practice focused on strengthening caregiver-child relationships and establishes the David M. Einhorn Endowed Chair in Early Relational Health, whose inaugural holder, Dr. Dani Dumitriu, begins January 2027.
- Ballad Health received a $25 million gift from John and Ann Tickle on July 17, the largest philanthropic contribution in the health system’s history. The gift will support future healthcare priorities aimed at strengthening care delivery and improving health outcomes across the Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia region, with specific initiatives to be announced later.
- Cleveland Clinic received a $25 million gift from Dee and Jimmy Haslam on July 21 to advance strategic initiatives expanding access to care. The gift brings the Haslam family’s cumulative giving to Cleveland Clinic to $382.5 million, building on earlier gifts that established the Haslam Family Section for Cardiovascular Genetics and an endowed chair in cardiovascular medicine.
- The Schwartz Reisman Institute for Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto received a $15 million CAD gift from the Gerald Schwartz & Heather Reisman Foundation on July 20 to scale emergency department innovation programs, including initiatives supporting seniors’ care, mental health crises, pregnancy loss, and cancer diagnoses made in the ED. The gift brings the donors’ lifetime giving to Sinai Health past $50 million CAD.
- Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center received a $10 million gift from Sylvia, Matthew, and Bridget Earl on July 8 as the lead gift for a $20 million Advanced Surgical Suite project. The gift will help fund five new operating and procedural rooms, including a hybrid OR for cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures, and names the Earl Family Surgical Center.
