$10M+ healthcare gifts in June 2026:
- Johns Hopkins Medicine received a $10 million gift from the Robert and Lynda Carter Altman Family Foundation on June 15. The gift establishes the Robert Altman Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery within the James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute, supporting robotic surgery, 3D-printed surgical simulation, and advanced imaging technology.
- The University of Alabama at Birmingham received a $10 million gift from the Gorrie family on June 15 to expand Alzheimer’s research, clinical trials, and specialist training. The gift renames the center the Frances Gorrie Alzheimer’s Disease Center in honor of Miller Gorrie’s wife.
- University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Cancer Center and Research Institute (CCRI) received a $10 million gift from Jean Morris Adams in June, made in honor of her late son and best friend, both of whom died of cancer. The gift funds the Kyle Shane Morris Infusion Suite and supports the “It’s About Time” campaign to expand access to cancer care for Mississippians.
- Cape Cod Healthcare received a $20 million gift from Cynthia G. and John F. Fish on June 22, the largest gift in the health system’s history. The gift renames the Cape Cod Hospital campus the Cynthia G. and John F. Fish Campus and funds new initiatives in elder care and expanded patient access.
- The University of Alabama at Birmingham received a $10 million gift from Mike and Gillian Goodrich on June 24, launching GRIT (Goodrich Rural Innovation in Training for Alabama) to fund scholarships, new rural residency programs, and an endowed chair supporting physician training and retention in rural Alabama.
- Houston Methodist received a $110 million gift from The Brockman Medical Research Foundation on June 24, the largest single philanthropic gift in the health system’s more than 100-year history. The gift names the new Brockman Centennial Tower and supports research and care in neuroscience, neurological conditions, and women’s health.
- Dartmouth Health received a $10 million gift from Kenneth R. French on June 25, launching the Vickie French Hospital at Home program, named in memory of French’s late wife. The program brings hospital-level care, including post-operative, palliative, and rehabilitation care, directly into patients’ homes across rural New Hampshire and Vermont.
