$10M+ healthcare gifts in September 2025:

  • Melinda French Gates announced a $100M gift supporting women’s health research. The funds support a partnership between Pivotal and Wellcome Leap, focused on women’s health issues with high rates of mortality.
  • Cure Alzheimer’s Fund celebrated a $50M donation from The Cardinal Family Foundation, supporting Alzheimer’s disease research.
  • The Gates Foundation pledged $912M to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The pledge matched the foundation’s 2022 donation and aims to encourage global governments to commit to global health causes.
  • The University of California Davis announced a $50M challenge grant from the Wayne and Gladys Valley Foundation. The gift supports the All Species Imaging Center, the new equine hospital, the new veterinary educational pavilion and primary care hospital.
  • Toronto Metropolitan University celebrated a $25M CAD matching pledge from The Orlando Corporation. The gift supports the university’s new School of Medicine.
  • The University of Alberta received a $25M CAD gift from The Dianne and Irving Kipnes Foundation. The gift establishes the Kipnes Institute in the newly named Dianne and Irving Kipnes Health Research Academy.
  • Children’s Hospital of Colorado announced a $25M challenge grant from The Anschutz Foundation. The gift aims to inspire $200M in funding to advance lifelong mental healthcare.
  • OU Health announces a $20M gift from Presbyterian Health Foundation. The gift establishes the Oklahoma Children’s OU Health Presbyterian Health Foundation Heart Center.
  • St. Luke’s Hospital received a $15M donation from the Crawford Taylor Foundation.  The gift supports construction of a new emergency department and patient care for patients and families across the St. Louis region.
  • Nationwide Children’s and The Kids Mental Health Foundation announced a $15M pledge from Abercrombie & Fitch Co. to support behavioral health initiatives for children and young adults in central Ohio and across the country.
  • The University of California Irvine celebrated a $15M donation from James and Cynthia DeBoard. The gift established the Robert M. Brunson Center for Translational Vision Research Endowment, supporting research in the Center for Translational Vision Research in the Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building and capital investments.
  • Memorial Health System announced a $15M gift from The Memorial Foundation and the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation. The gift supports expansion of the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, the Memorial Cancer Institute at Memorial Hospital West, and the new Family Birthplace at Memorial Regional Hospital.
  • University of Colorado Anschutz celebrated a $15M gift from Tom and Cydney Marsico. The gift supports a partnership between CU Anschutz, CU Innovations, and the University of Colorado Cancer Center focused on a data science initiative researching pancreatic cancer.
  • Stanford University announced a $15M gift from the David Koch Jr. Foundation. This gift launches the Kidney Health Innovation Program, expanding pediatric nephrology research.
  • The University of Delaware received a $13M grant from the Delaware Community Foundation. The gift supports Alzheimer’s research.
  • CHI Health Good Samaritan Foundation celebrated a $12.6M gift from an anonymous foundation. The gift supports expansion and renovation of the hospital’s Maternity Center and Interventional Cardiology Suites.
  • Vanderbilt University received a $11.25M gift from Laurel and Cliff Asness. The donation supports the Vanderbilt Institute of National Security and the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation.
  • Colorado State University celebrated a $10M gift from The Don Lockton Family Foundation. The gift establishes the Don Lockton Family Heart Center in the CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
  • Widener University received a $10M donation from Jack and Nancy Dwyer. The gift named the Jack and Nancy Dwyer School of Nursing.
  • SAC Health celebrated a $10M gift from Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. The gift supports providing comprehensive and accessible healthcare in the San Bernardino, CA area.
  • Florida State University announced a $10M gift from the Fairholme Foundation, supporting the College of Nursing.
  • Oxford University received a £10M gift from The Bukhman Foundation. The gift establishes the Bukhman Centre for Research Excellence in Type 1 Diabetes.
