$10M+ healthcare gifts in December 2024:

  • Indiana University celebrated a $138M grant from the Lilly Endowment. The grant supports the creation of the IU Launch Accelerator for Biosciences (IU LAB).
  • MacKenzie Scott donated $130M to Undue Medical Debt to purchase and forgive medical debt.
  • Massachusetts General Hospital received a $100M donation from Herb Chambers. The gift supports a new building providing cancer care and names the Herb Chambers Tower.
  • The University of Dubuque celebrated a $60M donation from John and Alice Butler. The gift supports the new John and Alice Butler College of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Duke University Health System announced a $50M gift from an anonymous The gift supports the development of a proton beam therapy center.
  • Washington University in St. Louis celebrated a $50M gift from Andrew and Barbara Taylor, naming the Taylor Family Department of Neurosurgery.
  • Cedars Sinai received a $35M donation from Bruce and Martha Karsh. The gift established the Karsh Division of Interventional Cardiology and the Karsh Distinguished Chair in Interventional Cardiology.
  • The University of Minnesota celebrated a donation of $35M from the Minnesota Masonic Charities supporting the Institute for the Biology of Aging and Metabolism, cancer research and care, and pediatrics research.
  • The VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation announced a $20M CAD donation from Mohammad H. Mohseni. The gift establishes the M. H. Mohseni Institute of Urologic Sciences.
  • The Oregon Health & Science University’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital celebrated a $16M gift from Cheryl Ramberg-Ford and Allyn Ford to establish the Ramberg Ford Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders Center.
  • SickKids (The Hospital for Sick Children) celebrated a $15M CAD donation from grateful parent, Moez Kassam. His gift supports two research positions and a nursing role.
  • Supporting breast cancer research, the Overwatch 2 community, raised $12.3M for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
  • The Fondation du CHU de Québec announced a $10M CAD donation from Quebecor, supporting the campaign for a new hospital complex, the NCH.
  • The University of Pittsburg celebrated a $10M donation from siblings Vishnu Vardhan and Harsha Vardhini. The gift, matched by the University, creates the Vijayalakshmi Innovation Center in Women’s Health Analytics and Research.
  • The University of Oklahoma received a $10M donation from Jim Norton and his daughters, Christy Trussell and Leslie Croteau, in honor of the late Ronda Norton. The gift supports the expansion of the Stephenson Cancer Center to
